 My unique symbol

Name is one of the important symbols which can represent people and their personality. Also, different names have unique connotation. For me, the name Yingxin has its special meaning as well.

My name was given to me by my mother. In Chinese, Ying, 颖, means new and clever and Xin, 欣, means happy. These two words a 颖 and a 欣 include the wishes from my family. Just like a phrase in Chinese tradition says, name can affect a person’s life. My parents believe that I can become a person who is clever and happy forever.

However, my love of my name was just the same as my hate of my name when I was growing up. On the one hand, I was thankful for my family’s best wishes. Loving my name is equal to love my family. On the other hand, I hated my name because I was less confident to become a human who is clever and happy. My name gives me too much hope and sometimes it changes into pressure as time goes on.

My name is still important for me. I firmly believe that with the tempering of life, I can become a person who can match my name.

    It's such a precious and nice name! I think it's really good that you say, "Love a name is like loving my family." Sometimes I hate my name, but when I think of my family, I like my name more than anyone else.

    Sometimes I also feel the same way I hope to change my name someday but my name reminds me of my family and i don't want to lose it either. In your case you have a very meaningful name so i hope you will be happy with your name someday.

    I think your name has a beautiful meaning, definitely is really motivating and yes maybe it come with a little of pressure but the good thing are always more.

     In China, where I was born, people’s names consist of two or three characters, and a few consist of four characters. My name consists of  three characters. A n ame can follow the elders in a family , or it can be the parents’ hope that their children will have a good personality and life. I come from   half an old-fashioned family and half modern. My father’s side is very old-fashioned. Once our family had a newborn baby, my grandmother had a 丹, dan , that she gave to the new baby.
